Dinu COLTUC Dinu Coltuc received the Diploma of engineer (1982) and the PhD degree (1997) in electronics and telecommunications, both from the Politechnica University of Bucharest, Romania. He is currently a Professor with the Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology School, Valahia University of Targoviste, Romania. Prof. Coltuc is the Director of the Doctoral School of Engineering and the Director of the Research Center for Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology of Valahia University. His research interests lie in the areas of image and signal processing and include reversible data hiding, watermarking, image enhancement, fast algorithms. Prof. Coltuc serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Information, Forensics and Security and for Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation. CV

Horia Leonard ANDREI Horia Andrei (IEEE - SM’12) received the M.Sc. degree in Control Systems and Computer Sciences in 1979, and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1996, from the Politehnica University of Bucharest - UPB. From 1982 to 2002 he has been with the Electrotechnics Department of UPB, where he worked as an assistant, lecturer and Associate Professor. Since October 2000 he became a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Valahia University of Targoviste. His research activities include analog circuit, electrical measurements, power systems and renewable energy systems. He has published more than 300 scientific publications, 50 books, and he has involved in different national and international projects. The results of his research were cited in more than 450 papers. Dr. Andrei served as reviewer for several ISI Journals. CV

Henri-George COANDA Henri-George Coanda graduated in 1993 the specialization "Telephony and data transmission" from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB). He obtains PhD title from 2004 in Automation domain (UPB). Today is associate professor in the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Energy Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology, Valahia University of Targoviste, from 2007 and Dean of this faculty from 2008. He is member of ARACIS, chairman for Broadcasting Technology chapter of the Romanian IEEE section and responsible for VUT CISCO Academy. Areas of research interest are: communications protocols, embedded systems design, software engineering, digital signal processing, image processing. CV

Felix ALBU Prof. Felix Albu has an active international involvement in the signal processing community. He has presented his research results in major international conferences (IEEE ICASSP, ISCAS, ICIP, EUSIPCO etc). He is reviewer for numerous IEEE, IEE, ELSEVIER, EURASIP journals and conferences, expert evaluator for research proposals submitted to national or international programs. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE since 2013. His research interests are signal processing methods in general, especially for speech, audio, acoustics and image, adaptive filtering, neural networks and artificial intelligence. CV

Nicoleta ANGELESCU Angelescu Nicoleta received the B.Eng. degree in Applied Electronics from Valahia University of Targoviste, Romania, in 2002. She received the M.S. degree in Advanced Telecommunications, Information Processing and Transmission Systems and the Ph.D. degree in the University Polytechnic of Bucuresti – Title of thesis: Pattern recognitions with fractal analysis techniques – In the field of Automatic control in 2008. She is currently with the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Energy Engineering from Valahia University. Elena-Otilia VIRJOGHE Assoc. Prof.Elena Otilia VIRJOGHE (Associate Professor at Automatics, Informatics and Information Technology Department, female) graduated in Measurements and Electrical Apparatus in 1993 at Electrical Engineering Faculty within University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), Romania. She obtained the PhD. in Electrical Engineering in 2004 at Electrical Engineering Faculty within UPB, Romania. Her research activities includes electrical equipments and installation, CAD for electrical engineering, electromagnetic and thermal modelling of electrical systems. Her scientific activity includes more than 90 technical papers in national and international journals and conferences, and 11 books. She participated in various national and international projects. Diana ENESCU Diana ENESCU graduated in Industrial Energy at Power Engineering Faculty within the University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB), Romania. She obtained the Master Sc. Degree in Energy efficiency and the economy of energy, UPB. She obtained the PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Heat Transfer) within the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest, Romania. In 2006, she was visiting researcher at Yale University-Connecticut, USA. She obtained a Master Sc. Degree in Project Management within the University Valahia of Targoviste (UVT), Romania. She is a Lecturer within the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Energy from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology, UVT. Her research activities include thermal engineering applications, thermoelectric systems, and thermal comfort in indoor environments. She has published over fifty papers in national and international journals, and conference proceedings, four books as author or co-author, two international book chapters, and she is the Editor of one international book. She is a reviewer for several scientific journals related to the thermal engineering field. She is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). CV

Vasile PATRASCU VASILE PATRASCU obtained the electronics engineer degree in 1980 at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and the mathematical diploma in 1989 at the Bucharest University. He also obtained his PhD in Electronics in 2001, awarded by the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The doctoral dissertation had as its subject the logarithmic processing of the images. He worked as a design engineer at Factory of Elements for Automation Bucharest (1980-1992), programmer analyst at Compu-Cons s.r.l (1993-1994), programmer analyst at Tarom SA (1995-1997) and deputy manager of information systems at Tarom SA (1998-2018). In parallel, he conducted research activities in the field of image processing, classification algorithms and information representation methods, with more than 50 published articles. CV

Mihail-Florin STAN Obtain his engineering diploma at Electrical Engineering Faculty from UPB and master's degree at the same university, with The optimization of the equipment for the electrical energy conversion. Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in 2003, at UPB and specialized studies in Politechnico di Torino, Italy. Currently, associate professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology of Valahia University of Targoviste. Florian ION I'm teaching the concepts about SMPS in various topologies - classical, but also developed, such as SEPIC, Cuk and ZETA. In addition, I deal with the sources of high efficiency synchronous and with soft switching transistors at zero voltage and current - ZVS and ZCS. About the fields of interest in research, I can remember reducing the EMI radiation of SMPS to satisfy the international standards. I have skills in the parameter measurement of SMPS, EMI radiation and simulations in dedicated development environments like Multisim, OrCAD, LTspice, and MPsmart. CV

Ioan-Catalin DRAGOI Ioan Cătălin Drăgoi received the B.Eng. in Applied Electronics (2010), the M.S. degree in Advanced telecommunications, information processing, and transmission systems (2012) and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (2016) from the Valahia University of Targoviste, Romania.
